Our Core Values are to Build Relationships,
Care About People, and Share the Good News.
#1 Neighborhood Block Parties
At Kalamo Church we desire to bring our neighborhood together. That is just what our block parties are about.
> Starting friendships.
> Finding out what the people around us need.
> Just having some good old fashioned fun.
Keep an eye out for out next block party. We’ll be looking for you.
#2 Focus Groups
Focus groups are the next step in building relationships. Once we’ve spent some time together, we might find out that we have some things in common and can help one another. Focus groups are formed as needed and have the purpose of encouraging one another in relationship.
Food Pantry
We serve approximately 14 families in Kalamo Township by distributing one week’s worth of food each month.
The Flower House
We provide 2 worship services each month for the residents of this assisted living home in Nashville, MI.
Eaton/Siren Shelter
We support the sole shelter available to abused women and children in Eaton County.
Grow in our Faith
Our focus in 2020 is to grow in our relationship to God through prayer and the power of the Holy Spirit.
We can do that in 3 ways.
- As an individual
- As a small group in a Bible study
- As a larger group in a worship service.
Live Out Our Faith
When our relationship with God has grown and the Holy Spirit is working in our lives we have the desire and power to live differently. It’s called life transformation.
At Kalamo we will continue to grow in our concern for the needs of others. And we will live out our faith as we serve.
Share Our Faith
Our desire is to share with our neighbors how much Jesus helps us in our daily lives. Our relationship is 24/7/365, not just an hour on a Sunday morning and we want others to see that difference in our lives.
Secondly, we know that we are not perfect but willingly learning and obeying God’s will for our life. We desire to live authentic (not perfect) lives that will point people to Jesus.
Check our calendar for regularly scheduled events and activities such as Ash Wednesday services, Easter plans, soup suppers, and more community activities.
